Of course, both versions look great. The blend of colors in 2a really appeal to me. However, its layout reminds me more of a printed piece rather than a web layout.
I think 2b is the better choice for your web design portfolio.
A few suggestions:
1) Move the navigation down just a bit. Right now, it's sitting almost directly on top of your logo and is a little distracting.
2) Change Bachelor Degree to Bachelor of Fine Arts.
LOVE LOVE #2!! Beautiful layers and color scheme. Easy on the eyes. Maybe you could experiment with the font and color for the menu items and chnage the home icon to something more organic looking...more like your design. Can't wait to see the finished piece!
I really love your comps Lyne. I love both color schemes you have going in both of your comps. I think comp 1 shows more of your culture and I really love the colors. They pop pout at me. I think you should go with this one, it shows more about you and who you are
